went into local engineers to get price on reprofiling that one lobe not worth it,also I asked him to show me how to measure lobe height its turns out this cam is a standard height of 7mm the 4x4 cam should be 8mm is it possible you,ve sent the wrong cam thanks dave

It's the one I took out of the engine. I have a couple of Cinquecento Sporting cam's in my shed but they don't have a lobed end for a mechanical pump.

The 4x4 engine worked fine once I set the timing properly.

the cam would work rob but one valve would be totally out of sync plus I am gaining nothing putting a std one back in if you come across one a 8mm 4x4 gis a shout mistakes happen they all look the same till you get the verniers out and measure regards dave

They don't look the same, 4x4 cams actually have '4x4' and Steyr Puch' cast into them (mine does anyway) so not difficult to spot out of the engine.

thanks, no nothing like that stamped on it definitely a standard cam, if you hear of a genuine one let me know I would appreciate it no doubt I,ll have to put it down to experience regards dave

Firstcar is right....easy to spot the 4x4 stamped on the cam. The cam came as standard on later 2wd's such as the fizz edition.
