Hello everyone,

I currently drive a 1.2 8v Punto and I'm in love with it but I want an Uno Turbo and have wanted one for quiet some time now.

I don't know a great deal about them just think they are mental little machines and would love to have one in my list of cars owned.
Is there anything I should look out for when buying one?

What price bands should I expect?
Price for an uno that needs a bit of work? Price for a good condition uno? price for a minter?

Any common problems I should try to check for to avoid?

And if anyone has one for sale please PM me :) Or know where one is :)

Thank you.

Antony.

rust rust and rust. rear turrets, front turrets, floor pans, bulkhead, inner wings, outer wings, rear arches, rear back pannel, front pannel, around the wind screen, sills, sunroof (if the UT u look at has one), basicly everywhere!

engines are strong, look for blue smoke on tick over, or when u Boot it one. means turbos knackered of the stem seals are worn.

price wise,

£300 - £700 = work, loads of work, long project or for spares
£700 - £1200 = will get one with MOT etc, but will prob need welding at next MOT and will need work
£1200 - £1500 = get u a good one, but as with older cars, u'll have a few areas to tidy up but it'll be a very good base to start with
£2000+ = should get a u a very good one which will last if u look after it
£3000+ minter, no rust, looked after low mileage/low owner example
