Their customer service last night was the worst i have ever come across! I got so mad at them interrupting me, not listenening to me, chaning the story, and not fixing the problem that i had to speak to a supervisor! The Supervisor was worse! After explaining the problem for the 7th time this month they have now deemed appropriate a £25 admin charge for resuming the service they took away from me without prior notice!

After explaining to them that the admin charge is unfair and damnright outrageous, they hung up on me after refusing to waive the charge! How f***ing stupid is this company?

I've written a letter of complaint to them and also have saught the advice from a family friend who is a Solicitor, as it stands, i am not liable for the remaining 12 month contract due to wanadoo's mal-practice so i am now signing up elsewhere.

I urge anyone that is looking for a new ISP to consider others before wanadoo. I am currently heading to Tesco Broadband as their package looks superb, only 10 days to wait for them to activate me:)

A very pissed-off man.

Thank God, my FREESERVE ( I don't agree with the new name: "Do what you Wanadoo" I wanna connect to the ****ing internet!!!!!!!) connection is fine. Had problems connecting a few times but I've got over that

You're right. The new 'service' isn't a service at all, and they are unfortunately taking the same aggressive line as many organisations, which is a 'stuff you' attitude, 'there's plenty more customers out there.'

Good luck with the change. I'm still looking to see what the best deal is for me....

Tosh

PS: Look forward to seeing you on 'Grumpy Old Men' in the near future....:):) :)

I agree totally! It certainly felt like a "Stuff you" attitude :bang: .

May i recommend Tesco Broadband to you Tosh? It's the half meg connection speed and there's NO capped download limit all for £19.97 a month! Much better than the crappy Wanadoo 1mb speed 2gb limit for £17.99.

See http://www.tesco.com/telecoms/ for details:)

Now that does look like a good deal. I take it that's the one you're going with? from what I've heard they are pretty good with Customer relations too...

Re: What do you expect.................................

some 1 want to answer this. im on bt 1mb line. got a 30gb cap. a month. is that only downloading files. or is that in general. cos i think ive used about 90gb of data in last week playing games on the net. :S

Smee

Re: What do you expect.................................

the 30gb is in general, it includes viewing webpages, downloading files and downloading emails but playing internet games shouldn't reach anywhere near 90gb a month!

Tosh, Yeah it's tesco i'm going with, couldn't refuse an offer like that!

Re: What do you expect.................................

er.. lol i play cs, c&c generals, live for speed, need for speed, downloads on top of that. plus xbox live.and my mum ising her bit i do over 30gb easily. in general use. i leave it going constantly i never switch it off. time to call bt i reckon and see if i can get unlimited like aol.

Re: What do you expect.................................

most of the big isps you a re stuck in a 12 month contract...if you like it or not.

smee, think wisely before going to AOL, i think there tech staff have the same experience as wanadonts.....none at all.

i work for an isp doing adsl technical support so any probs just ask.

also can i recommend some of the prefered isps like.

vispa, zen, eclipse, NDO.

these are the ones with probably the best technical know how and outdo bt, aol, wanadont and the other bign's on speed, reliability and support by far.

Thanks for the offer, it could well be handy for some of us.

I must say the ISPs you mention weren't exactly mainstream as far as I had heard, but they are certainly worth a look if they're being recommended by somebody in the industry.....:)

:)

if you look at the main isps, AOL, WANADOO etc the yhave.

1. crap customer service which 9 times out of 10 you speaking to someone in india who doesnt understand english or doesnt know what adsl is.
2. you get what you pay for..usually the big ones are 1 or 2 pound cheaper but lock you into a 12 month contract and you buggered if you suffer speed problems etc.
3. they dont really care as they have 1000 if users signing up per day so 1 person is not going to make a difference.
4. they normally dont care about the service more about lining there pockets.

www.ispreview.co.uk is a good site to check out the isps i mention, each one of them have tech support who always are answering questions about service, issues etc on normal forums.

the amount of happy people with these isps are unbelievable.

they are uk based with English people working there offering quality support and service.

Re: What do you expect.................................

bt however have been ever so nice to me. we had broadband in swaffham for just over a year. i called then constantly for 2 months. and they stuck me on bt broadband 2 months before any 1 else to trail it. after a year i only had 1 problem which was even theres. it was my line from pc to the socket which my dog had eaten. im now on 1mb. and have had no problems wat so ever.

also i got a 4mb cable line at home in southend with blueyonder and they have excellent service (maybe due to there depot is less than a mile away) as soon as u call then they send an engineer round to sort it within the hour

Re: What do you expect.................................

blueyonder do not offer 4mbit, highest they do is 3mbit

you might be in one of the non crowded areas hence you being able to hit 4mbit

i used to have cable 600kb but used to always get 2mbit up

Re: What do you expect.................................

????? pass i didnt set it up. i just know it says 4mbit when i connect to it lol. ill take ur word on it :D
