Just a quick question on the phone....how do you guys (& girls) set it up? I mean I have paid for a "Car-phone Duo" sim card - a number which basically piggy backs my normal cell phone. This card is only $10 per month but every call costs $0.50 per minute (outgoing).
What set up does everyone use? Do you take your sim card in and out of your phone? Do you use the Duo system and just fork out for the calls? Do you use a pre-pay card and simply divert your main cell number to this pre-pay when it is switched off?
Your ideas would be appreciated.
P.S. - Well done the Lions last night against Bay of Plenty!
i have a pay as you go sim in my car. i have call divert when not available activated on my mobile. when i get in the car i switch off my mobile and calls are diverted to my car phone. it works great and you only have to give people your mobile number and not two different ones.
I've got a duo card (same number as my usual one) and pay 9 euros a month. My calls cost exactly the same as from my regular car though. I think it's the best system cause it saves you the trouble of having to do anything at all. It would be the perfect system if it wasn't for the monthly fee...
