there is already a thing "like" this for bikers where the bikes speedo/tacho/gear is projected onto the visor. there is also one that puts a small screen onto the visor so you can see in the blind spots.

All sounds very advanced to me. Looks like it could really catch on, will be interesting to see any further developments.
