very weird problem with my lights

when i have my lights on and i indicate to go left my lights will either blink all go off altogether but only when im indicating to go left and turning left and when i straighten back up there go back on. does anybody know whats up, is it a bad earth or something?

Could possibly be the stalk on it's way out too.
