Hi guys
Owned my Abarth 500 for nearly 3 months now and loving it
The only thing that bugs me is the horrendous price of the car tax😡.why so high?
Wifeys 1.5 mini cooper diesel is £180 pa whereas the Abarth 1.4 T-jet is £275!!!
Been driving over 50years now and this is the first car ive ever had to save the tax cost in monthly instalments🫣
Car is the baby of the bunch at 135 bhp, in black with leather furniture and a low mileage, 2011 unmarked version
Dont you love ‘em

Because the government is a pillock. Ive had two identical Pandas and one was £30 the other £190. There is no fairness or common sense in it, Tell them its had an engine change to a 1.1 Im glad I didnt buy one if thats the tax cost. Madness!

CO2 emissions being quite high
It's a sliding scale and ramps up fairly steeply over 120g/km
Aaaand we all know how we can trust the emissions figures...
So diesels will always be cheaper - until they change their minds again...

Running costs (VED & insurance) are still pretty cheap in the UK compared to other places I've driven. You should try ROI!
