Technical Varta black dynamic battery

hi all,just wanted to know if anybody here has bought a Varta black dynamic
car battery.I got one new 13 montha ago and it went completely dead this morning after charging it yesterday.I was lucky because I got a replacement
new Duracell battery as I had 2 year warranty.
I wanted the varta blue or silver bit they didn't have it so got Duracell as replacement,bottom line don't waste money on Varta black dynamic.

Hi,

More than likely you were just un-lucky and had a faulty battery. Varta batteries are generally pretty good and reliable.

Also how come you had to charge it the day before? Has it been going flat recently? Or a sudden failure?

Although if your new battery ALSO goes flat in a few days, there might be an underlying problem. But fingers crossed you were just unlucky!

Varta blue look identical to the Bosch s4's

I suspect they share the same factory

Eitherway, i dont believe the battery was a fault without proper confirmation via a paracitic drain test and a voltage based alternator test

I noticed on sunday the car was a little bit slow to start,so I put it on charge for about 2 hours thinking that it would be fine the next morning.
The guy in the shop tested the battery and said it was knackered.
Next time I buy a battery I will buy a good one for around 100 euro.
You get a 5 year warranty with yusa silver batteries in Halfords,will try one next time.
