Hi there. This is a rare excursion beyond the cosy confines of the Seicento part of the site!

I could do with some Stilo-related advice. On a very general note, what should I look out for in used Stilo Multiwagons?

Sorry, I know this is very broad, but I trust advice from here far more than much of what I might find on the wider internet! The other threads here mostly concern other models.

Many thanks

Generally with all Stilo's the obvious stuff to look out for:

1) See if its had its suspension recall work done.
2) Depending on its age make sure its had a cam belt change, 5yrs or 70k I believe!
3) Make sure the Stilo you look at has been regularly looked after!

Im sure you know that a well looked after Fiat is no less reliable than anything German!

The guys with MW's on here will be able to answer more specifically, but the above applies to most Stilo's!

Definately get the JTD. Its a peach of an engine and makes it a real workhorse. (y)(y)(y)

and a re-map and induction makes it a power house too, though the 1,6 aint bad, just need to make sure its had the throttle body updates done.

general checking really

cambelt if neeeded around 50-60k ish if no record, no waring lights, some creaks and rattles are expected, the dash for instance, especially noticable if the windscreen has been replaced.

just general checks, nothing out of the ordinary, unless you find the ultra rare 1.8, then check the variator for a diesel ish sound at 1st start when cold, tell tale signs that its buggered.(y)
