Hi all.
Wonder if anyone can help.
I have a grande punto 1.9jtd multi jet diesel. It has 99k on the clock and the turbo and head went. So I have bought a second hand engine and I've fitted it today. Runs like a dream.... Ish.
I need some help with the oil cooler... I never remember taking any pipes off of it. You have two larger pipes and then on the side of the filter housing there is a little black tube which looks like a pipe belongs on it. I didn't have it on my old engine and there is certainly no pipe on the new engine or anywhere for a pipe to go. I've had many eyes look over it with no avail. Now don't laugh at me... Because I needed to get home and it was leaking oil out of that little tube I bunged it up. After looking online I can't find out what that stupid little black bit is for, does ANYONE have any ideas what so ever?!
Second issue, the chap said the turbo was slightly noisy on new engine, it sounds about right to me however if your sat gently at 60 and gently hold the accelerator it will jolt constantly. If you sit and Rev it at about 3000RPM IT will dump constantly, Rev and psssshhh constantly without lifting off the gas. I'm wondering if I havnt made a proper seal maybe around the intercooler or air intake, anyone any ideas on this? Because the last thing I want is the turbo to go on my new engine.
