Technical urgent help needed with coupe 20vt

bought another coupe but it had a blocked injector so my mech replaced it ( with a injector off a non turbo car- is this ok) so when i first start my car it sounds like its misfiring and poppin when i rev it,but i can rev it freely all the way to the redline.i leave my car to warm up and the sound goes but the car doesnt have much power,the turbo kicks in but then fades away after a short time.. some1 please help!!!!!!!!!!!

The 20vNA injectors are 280cc and the 20vt injectors are i think 330cc so it will be underfueling like mad best thing to do is search ebay for some second hand ones bud. sorry to be bearer of bad news.

20VT injectors are readily available and quite cheap - I've just sold a set of five for £40

get yourself over to the fccuk forum (I have a feeling you're already on there) and post in the Parts Wanted section - won't take long for someone to reply

thank your for the replys.. i got a new injector and all is good now except the small pipe on the side of the pastic tube ( next to the rover cover and leads to the throttlebody) has a small pipe on the side which goes to the bulkhead,well anyway my pipe has come apart from the casing and i wanted to know what that pipe was???

Have you got a picture? There are quite a few pipes there .

To be fair your mechanic should of checked this out first, I wouldnt be very happy if that happened to me. Could of done more damage than you think.

Glad you got it sorted tho mate.

Chrisuk is right, a picture is always best when trying to identify something under the bonnit, piece of mind...
