Ok so my Locking Wheel Nut Key is slipping and looks slightly deformed inside :( , i have one locking wheel nut off the car, is there anywhere that can profile a replacement from the one i have off?

Quite urgent as car in for work on Tuesday, and need to get tyres etc replaced too.

Phoned Volvo as its for the S40 and its £90+VAT to get them off  and £49 for a new set, they cant do replacements on cars before 2004.

Other than that what are my options, i know most tyre places, alloy places will take them off but what roughly will they charge.

Ideally want to get a new key profiled from existing wheel nut.

Cheers

Can you not use a bolt/stud/screw extractor tool to remove them, then replace them at a later date?

Ok so useless bit of paper and eBay to the rescue, spotted a web address on some packaging on an add for original Volvo locking wheel nuts, turns out to be the website you can order replacement keys from McGuard

https://wheellockkeys.com/volvo/en/index_en.htm

With the 8 digit number that my local dealer said my car shouldn't have.

So 18 Euros but a hell of a lot cheaper than other options. Now just need it to get here asap.

Fixed now but dont know if that would work with nut type ones, also spinning outside type, think you might end up damaging the bolt attached to the hub. I'm sure it could be done somehow. No room for bolt extractors round the outsides either.
