The problem i'm having is that my boot is leaking water. It's been doing this for some time now but i've only todat found where it's coming in through.

Under the carpet on the sides behind the arch there's a plastic/rubber flap that i would imagine allows air into the boot. This is where the water's coming in through.

The question i have for you people is should there be a guard at the bottom of the bumper stopping water from making its way up that far. When i look under the car/ bumper i can see straight up into this flap. SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS.

The reason i'm asking for the answer urgent is because i need to stop the water as it will rust my car to bits. Also it'll make it's way to my sub!

Re: Replys would be much appreciated

had my boot emptied recently and i can't find no flaps, Air should not have a direct access into the boot though maybe your inner arch trims are missing?

Re: Re: Replys would be much appreciated

No mate, inner arch trims are there. The hole comes out to the outside under the bumper. Well, inbetween the rear of the arch and the bumper.

Really don't know what to do now.

rear seats wet?

is the hole in the middle of a small like gully and is the water running in the back seats?

Re:rear seats wet?

No mate. Seats aren't wet, well not yet anyway. If i hadn't have caught it when i did, the water was making it down the gully yes.

Actually i can report an update on the water leak. I totally dried the boot out from water, that corner anyway. This way Saturday night. Sunday morning, opened the boot and there was water there yet again. This water coud not possibly have made it through that hole through under the bumper. No way in the world.

Therefore it's making its way in from elsewhere, settling in this area where i told you about (between the two sheets of metal and then overflowing into the boot. Why is this?

The water is making a pudal around the large rubber pipe which goes through the boot floor to drain water from the roof. There is one situated both sides but this is only happening on the drivers side.

Firstly i thought that there could be a split in the rubber pipe. But then how could the water then jump into this other area between the sheets.

Sorry for this lengthly post however i'm finding it hard to describe to you what's happening in order for you to picture it.

water leak

I think i have a suggestion, i had the same leak by the sounds of it , i took all of the side trim and seat belt anchor from the left hand side of the boot and got my girlfriend to pour water over the left hand side of the roof area. i could see it trickling down behind a pillar. turns out the rear side window was the culprit, got some clear silicone ran a small bead around it , hey presto!!!! A mate works for a car window company , he say when its made the robot sometimes misses!! cause its glued on... I also thought it must be the hole but the amount of water there was it'd be impossible...
hope it helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......justin b
