Update on Smee's dash...

I swear i put a post near the top of this post???

I did say it looks like you have done a brilliant job filling and matching the contours of the original dash, the paint finish looks good in the pics.

Top marks for even attempting it (even though it was my idea )

yeah, you should attempt it. we had to rush like mad to get it done as Lee was only here for 1 day so we had to get it all prep'd and sprayed and fitted in one day! when I did min eI left a lot of time between each coat of paint and left it to dry overnight. with lee's it wasnt an option. the top part of the vent and the facia adapter turned out fine as they were left to dry the longest. when I came to do the centre console I ran out of primer (it was filling primer, I think thats where we went wrong) so I had to go get more leaving us with less time to do it. its turned out alright but Lee intends to recover it in something eventually so it will do for now anyway

just got home dan. couldnt get a relay. boo so i thought i would run pc off the mains to show dad. FFS the screen dont work. its not drawing enough power from the ciggy lighter dunno y but its going to ferry secure in morning and see if they can fix it and get it working.

the dash is gonna be sprayed black or have it retrimd in suede not decided yet but if retrimmed it wll be dont professional.

is running through my head unit ok. and the sound is amazing. the lee evans vid is class on here hahaha

do recap. sort power for screen (think ill run it off the battery straight with relay

mate - it looks spot on! very very professional looking - it looks like it's been like that all the time!

you've definately found the solution to having a screen and a HU in the bravo - it looks 10 times better than anything else i've seen!

sy shhhhhhh lol. its flopping about where the stereo should be. i think im gonna cover the hole and cut it in up there. this way its hidden behined screen and then illjust remove screen for mot

thanks for the comments all. just looking for a retrimer to cover it in suede for me. and then ill be DEAD happy, oh and getting my mate to sort the pc today

Just a suggestion m8...

Why don't you get a switch and fit it behind the strip, using one of the original unused buttons, it would look more stock that way

Failing that, try and get a strip from a car that had the extra switches already in it, that way it will be much easier to fit.

no lol i stuck a load of p40 and then cried as i had to sand it off.

seems strong enough tho. tight fit and the cables r folded up under teh stereo i think. but time will tell.

cant see how i remove my stereo tho not enough room to get a screw driver in there to get it out. think its a dash off jobbie. but ohwell.

get the pc and screen working.

then its tints and front reprayed.

brakes (badly needed) and service

retrim dash and maybe leather retrim or bucket seats x 4 with retrim in suede and leather..

and maybe engine tune up or new engine. depending on wat i can find. i got accepted for 3k loan (my max budget) so i can def get a turbo conversion if need be. and if i get another 500 i cna get internals and boost controller good for around 200 bhp on full. butobviously unstable.

or

i sell up in september and get an integie type R not decided yet. love the bravo to bits but i need more power

bit confused? you say 200bhp?? the standard 20vt is 220bhp isnt it?

i would do the 20vt conversion, but then again i am n my 3RD!!! bravo........

I think you either need to attack it full heartedly or not at all! if you dont know what to do then dont do it, as you will regret it! a 220bhp brava would be quite smart though!!!

think allans is running around that.

pc isnt working the relay has blown and the screen isnt drawing enough of is over powering from ciggy. it reaches standby but switch it on and its cuts off

i am taking it to ferry secure on friday to get it looked at
