hi guys ive been trying to change my oil on my hlx 115 but no avail am i doing this right? im turning the plug anti-clockwise, ive sprayed wd40 on it and it wont budge. heres a pic is this the correct thing?

Yeah thats the plug mate.

Do you have an allan key type socket to fit it?

yeah been using one on it and it just wont budge at all ive allready broken a socket set although it was a cheap 1. any suggestions?

Go Halfords buy a proper one with lifetime guarantee and use that. Thats what i always use and it comes off.

When you do take it off, they advise you to buy a new seal ring for the sump plug.

Make sure your not tightening. Sounds like you are.

is anti clockwise tightening it? cuz thats the way im turning it the one im using at the moment is a good 1 as ive been turning as hard as i can and it aint broke yet. apart from this wat else can i do?

Warm up the engine, that will cause the sump to widen a tiny bit, and U will remove the plug easier.
+ the oil should be warm when U are changing it, so every bit can come out.

From the angle of the pic yes go anti clockwise.

Also remove the top oil filler cap to let all the oil drain out quicker and smoother.

the engine oil has been plenty hot as i took it for a short run so i duno wat to do really. jus pay to get it done.

From the front of the car, attach the socket and raqchet. Looking from under the car point the handle of the raqchet to the drivers side wheel.

Then push the handle to the back of the car with your hand.

Do you get what i'm trying to say.

Just trying to show you which way you should be pushing.

If the handle is pointing to the passengers side wheel then you'll be pulling on it.

Try hitting it whit a hammer on the head a couple of times, either than that, dont know.
Use a lever to get more torque (dont bend the sump - work extra careful), or get to a mechanic.
