I've got a 1.4sx and don't really wanna do any more body mods so now looking at subtle changes. I'm in two minds whether to paint my drum and caliper's. I'm not sure about doing it as on some motor's look the nuts and some just crap. Heres a pic of my motor at the moment.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

In my opinion, painting the drums a bright colour just highlights the fact they're not disks. I've painted mine black with Hammerite Spray, and they are a huge improvement. The finish is holding up really well too after months of driving.

If you're going to paint you calipers, don't bother with the £20 caliper paint kits- I used a £4 tin of "Engine laquer" paint from Motorspares that does exactly the same job,! (I'll post some pics later if you like)

Thats what i was i was thinking about the drum/caliper. I'm not making mine a HGT lookalike but i didnt want to highlight the fact.

Your motor looks good. Like the spoiler :)

Pics would be good if you have the time.

Thanks.

Re: what wheels are those?

Are you sure engine laquer is OK on callipers? I've heard it overheats and bubbles up on them as callipers get so hot, far hotter than drums I think and they do all the brakeing as they are at the front.

Re: what wheels are those?

There TSW APEX (195/45/16), lowered 40 mil.
