[MPG in a 1.4 has anyone seen worse then this?]

drove to newcastle yesterday 140mile trip there so a 280 round trip motorway driving. my car usually does 220 town driving on a full tank.

my trip to newcastle and back i used a tank and a three quarters petrol !!! cost me about £45 which is shocking mpg it really is !

i am guessing this is due to my new exhaust, should i reset the ecu ? or is this one of the drawbacks of a ss exhaust ? i was expecting a slight reduction on mpg but this is ridiculus.

My 1.6 does around 120 miles to 10 quid! This is driving open road and 20 miles city (approx).

I put in 10 quid super unleaded last week got 47 miles! How fantastic is that!!

A new exhaust wont help but the 1.4 has shocking fuel economy in the first place for a 1.4
