Engine Transplant

Guest
Heres a good one, I know that the Coupe 2.0 20v (and 16v) lumps are not the easiest thing in the world to fit in the bravo, due to the size.

But what about the 1.4 tubro lump out of the Punto GT?

Just my neighbours decided to write one off (silly boy) and the engines still in working order. What do you think?

Hmmm... it would be a nice ide if you could actually get the engine to fit lol :)

However I doubt that the engine bay will actually fit the 1.4 GT punto engine into it because of the size (Wouldn't the GT engine just fall through?)

I'd guess you'd have to make some custom parts for your Bravo engine bay for the Engine to fit, but I guess there's no reason why you can't actually get the engine to fit eventually!

It's the same with the Coupé engines though really.. there's a lot of work rather than just putting the engine into a Bravo bay, as the piping for the Turbo and all the other little things need doing.

Custom work is what costs the money!

Re: Re: Untitled

So although its a smaller engine, its going to need as much work?

Re: Re: Re: Untitled

Its got nowt to do with engine size, its all down to the fact nothing (exhaust etc..) will line up so it all has to be custom made.
