General uno reversing light contact swich

does anyone know where the reversing light contact swich is. on most cars its on the gear stick, but i belive it may be under the car. unfortunatly, i don't know what the hell i'm looking for! please help before the filth get me!

Hi DannyL On my old Punto It's a plunger type switch screwed into the front of the transmission casing....maybe it was there on the Unos eh? Worth a look Eh? If so check the fuse first
Get the car up on axle stands(safe)or in your own (unsafe) way and after disconnecting the wiring connector, unscrew the switch from the transmission casing..........[^]

DannyL, also check the Haynes manual. It can be downloaded from the main part of the Fiat Uno forum by clicking on one of the sticky's at the top. I think Commoner is right in what he says but still best to check.
