Technical Uno Diesel starting/runing problems

My Fiat Uno 1.7 Diesel have developed a few problem over the last month.
I'm having a very hard time getting et startet. When i get it startet it sounds like it only runs on 3 cylinders for the first 30 sek.
Sometimes the engine also just stops while driving.

Most diesel problems would relate to fuel,that is dirty fuel filter{when was it last changed]or air locks in the system.Try starting up and opening each injector pipe nut at the injector to try an bleed out any air [depends if its easy to get at these]When you open one pipe at a time the engine note should drop down and then rise again when this injector starts to contribute to the firing; if after opening and closing again their is no difference then i would suspect a problem with this cylinder or injector.Also check for a cylinder gasket problem ,is it using a lot of water.Other reason for loss of compression on any cylinder would be damaged valve.Serviced regularly a diesel will go for a long time without much trouble.
