Thanks Ant

Puntos are quite common in NZ but not GT's (there are only 19). Used parts are expensive as only some specialised wreckers do them. They are not common enough to find bits on ebay etc. I found a guard at a wrecker even in the same colour, however its slightly damaged and they still want $220 for it. Id rather buy a new guard and get it sprayed up when the rest of the panel beating gets done, if it gets done.

Used bumpers are hard to get as they are all damaged. I have not found one. Same as the fog lamps. Oh and the mirror. They want $250 for one a different colour!

The panel beater says he can tap the guard straight so it will look a lot better. that will be good enough for now.

sounds like spares are hard to come buy and very exspensive in nz, i would be able to get brand new from the main dealer cheaper, i'm sure you'l source them like you did with the GT (1 of only 11 or so) and the same amount of UT'S very rare in your country (desirable) a bit like me in the north of england but we love it, good luck steve merry xmas and all the best in the new year Ant!

now then people,
I saw your Punto on Turbo124 Steve, looking pretty good, but like antsuno said, not sure on the colour. having said that, to have something as rare as it is for the price you paid for it :p

The UT now has clear side repeaters on her and the black front grill, not sure on it though, was going for the stealth look but not sure it's worked, i'll post a pic to see what you reckon, otherwise the red one will go back on.

Are you going to strip the GT out to get the weight down steve? think it's the only way you will get it as quick as the Uno.... hehe :D

I'm hacking the rear seats out and putting some new race seats in the front sometime in the new year, i wanna get her nice and light and faster, so i'll be round to find out how to up the power.... watch this space!

Here's to 2007! cheers
