Ok i give up , ive been looking for ages and cannot find a clock in this Uno ie start , should it have one ? , next question , the other day some blind old lady hit reverse and decided to hit my front end , in panic i hit the horn ( centre of the steering wheel ) and heard nothing , so i hit reverse and safety , where is the dam horn ? !, and lastly , what are the correct tyre pressures for this motor , it had 35 in the front , so i dropped it to 30 psi , thanks

Re the horn
Check your fuse first then wire up the horn direct just 2 wires lead to it.
If all correct you will have to pull the rubber panel carefully off the centre of the steering wheel to check the contacts are ok.
Mine had problems with the contacts cleaned them up and it was sorted.

the start model does not come with a clock, highly annoying. there is a slot next to the rear foglight button on the dash. thats where its meant to be. my tyre pressures were about that so you have them pretty much spot on.

Thanks guys , ive only had this motor just over a week and ive learnt so much . The Uno is indeed a strange vehicle , apart from it not having a clock , which i can live with , looking underneath the car everything is cramped . the handbrake is crap ! checked shoes they need replacing . Adjusting the handbrake is gonna be a swine , it would be easier to find the source of the nile .but there is something odd about this motor , its very "Reliant" in its feel , its asking you to come and tinker with me , must admit though its great fun own one . Oh and did i mention the speedo shakes up and down ? no , well it does ..........:bang: , .... and theres no fag lighter .....and ....... :bang:

My opinion is that any such complains should be redirected immediately, straight to the Ministry of Silly Walks.

I put up a post a few months back whenever I fitted a clock to my Uno start; should be able to find it without too much bother. As I recall you can get them from similar-age Cinquecentos and Fiorinos (the boxy minivan things), or from higher spec Unos.... troop down to your local scrappy and you might be able to find one; all the conections are already in your car to fit one. Otherwise, check ebay and you might spot one by chance, like I did :D

Of course the alternative is to buy it direct from Fiat for £50-odd

I think the cigarette lighter could well be similar to get hold of, it also has the connections there behind the dash anyway. I trust you've found where it should be though...? Some people go for years before finding the flip-up section above the fog-light/rear wiper buttons.... ;)
