Hi,
Not technically minded at all, just bought my son a Uno 45,1989 F reg,19,000 on the clock,as I look into the engine compartment I see the air filter and there is a hose missing which appears to connect the air filter to an area behind the front grill to the left of the radiator, what purpose does this hose do? and with what type of hose would I need to put back there as I presume it is missing one there,cheers.Tartdog.

The hose feeds the airbox with cold air from the front of the car. Otherwise hotish air is drawn from in the engine bay in general. You can replace this with a simple rubber pipe of automotive specification. However if you are not technically minded I recommend you buy the original part from any FIAT dealer as it is quite cheap and will fit in 2 minutes.

Part number: 7654906
£11.14

Lewey,
Thanks for your quick reply and part number,cheers.Tartdog.

Yeah a lucky find,it had been treated with Ziebart rustproofing treatment from new, just about totally rust free, bought it for my 18yd Son,better bodywork on it than my 09 Ford C Max,few little niggling problems as mentioned in previous help posts, air filter hose missing,a very very annoying squeaking from the dashboard area when turning corners etc, totally immaculate (not liked) striped upholstery, found it in a classified advert in Wilmslow,Cheshire.New to these forums will have a nosey around and see if there is anywhere to up photos etc.Tartdog.

Just gone through old mot's etc and she has done 953 miles since Jan 2006
