General Ulysse RT3 update

I have a 53 reg Ulysse and want to get European maps to travel to France soon. Navteq say they don't support that year (I think they do with the 2004 maps as Fiat say map changes were in 2005) so tried Fiats who want huge sums. The unit I have is software version 5.32 and I was looking at updating to 5.5 which I think I need to run later maps. I note on Eurovans site the downloads for 5.42 and 5.5. Question is can I update my software in relative safety, and do I need to update sequentially ie 5.42 then 5.5, or can I go straight to 5.5

Hi, you can go straight to 5.5, I've done it myself and its fairly straight forward.

As you have already updated your system could you answer one quick question. I have downloaded the update and burnt to CD following instructions on Eurovans site and have 85 files as expected. I notice several are 0kb in size (6 files) ... is that right? Best to check before I blow the unit....especially as its 'her' car!!

Yes my copy of the latest update had 6 0Kb files but worked fine.
