I am a new member for purely selfish, indeed desperate reasons.
I am stuck in rural France with this thing that goes from one
electrical problem to the next on a near daily basis. I'm not sure if
I am allowed to voice these problems in this particular forum
but I'll try anyway.
Intermittently, but more often than not, I cannot keep full beam
on and it clicks back to dipped beam. Sometimes after numerous
clicking back and forwards plus driving whilst holding the stalk up it will remain on full beam but now it has started to turn off all the lights as you are driving. I obviously stop
as quickly as possible and turn the light switch off and then on and the lights come back on but in the unlit minor roads/lanes of France it is
absolutely petrifying. Nobody here wants to look at it although
it is basically the same model as the Citroen 8 and Peugeot 807.
There is the a new fuse box in the problem area under the drain plug
and it has been fully treated with Wurth contact cleaner. If anyone
can point me in the right direction there are bottles of Bordeaux's finest
reds available.
