Hi, looking for some help if possible. Our ulysse judders when pulling away from a standing start. It's usually worse after around 30 mins of driving. It's had a new clutch just before we bought it. We have tested the clutch by trying to pull away in 2nd 3rd 4th gear and it stalls immediately. Would this suggest the clutch is ok? If the car is moving and you back down to 1st and then into 2nd it never judders just from a standing start. Also as soon as you get into 2nd it stops! Any ideas would be very welcome!!!

You should be able to pull away in second gear, albeit with some clutch control and it will be a bit laboured!

What year and how many gears has your Ulysse?

If you are certain a new clutch was fitted it might be a good idea to check your engine/gearbox mounts as they may have been damaged when the gearbox was removed to replace the clutch. Also, check the tightness of the bell housing bolts. Contamination of the pressure plate and/or friction plate is often the cause of clutch judder.

Hi,

I have recently acquired a 1997 model with similar symptoms.

Did Avionista hit the spot with any of his suggestions?
