General Ulysse Engine Fault

Hi All

I wonder if someone could please help out I recently bought a 53 plate Ulysse 2.0JTD, there are no engine lights on and I have had the main fuel filter changed , but my car has no power at all. I recently went away to the lake district for the weekend and my car would not drive up a hill even in first gear.The turbo kicks in at about 2200RPM and I regain some power but up until then there is nothing.

Does anybody have any pointers which I could try out before I take it to the dealers and end up spending a fortune.
If anyone could give me any ideas I would be most greatful

You would really need to take it to a good dealer for a diagnostic check.

Thanks for your continued help, as this problem is starting to really crack me up, it feels like I am just through endless money at the problem.

Does my car have a FAP I read on one of your earlier posted it was only on the 2.2 JTD mine is a 53 2.0JTD?

2.0 oops....probably have a DPF then,have look underneath for big lump in centre of exhaust!

If my DPF is blocked or even slightly blocked, would this cause a deteriation in the performance of my car?

I take it I need to take it back to the dealers to have it tested? Is this an expensive job to have it rectified?

Yes,cured many ulysse low power problems this way.Actual process takes 20-30mins plus setting up etc so expect hours labour charge.I think its part of the 4th service.
