Ulysse clutch problem

Hi everyone, I have owned a 1997 Ulysse for over two years with no problems at all, but driving down to Silverstone from Liverpool to watch the F1 practice on Friday the clutch release bearing became very noisy then failed just as we got to the circuit! I got the car home after forking out £400 for recovery and decided to do the job myself. I removed all the bell housing bolts etc but the box will not budge, the clutch lever is jammed in the engaged position and the engine is locked, any ideas would be very much appreciated!
