I have just been diagnosed with a cracked crankshaft, bit of a blow. Started off (diagnosed by AA) as a crankshaft pulley. Current estimates from garage £1k plus. I found a thread from someone seeking a new engine but lost it when i went to register. What are the chances of a recon being cheaper.
any thoughts advice greatly appreciated
