After many months I have finally removed all injectors from my broken timing belt project - hooray! (Original posted on the Eurovan Forum: http://www.eurovan2.com/forum/eurov...e-2-0-16v-jtd-2004-engine-repair-project.html)
Now onto the next problem, In order to remove to cam cover the studs that secure the injectors need to be removed but on the first one i tried to remove the Torx head sheared off
After some headscratching I decided to try my air chizzel (picture B) on the base on the studs to loosen them and to my surprize it worked .
With the cam cover removed I was able to check the damaged caused by the broken timing belt. 6 of the 16 rockers were damaged (picture F).
Now to decide if I need to remove the head to check for damage to the valves or just replace the broken parts and put it back together again.
Anyone else got this far or give any advice?
Thanks
Mav.
