A virtually standard new Panda Twin-Air is off on an attempt at the World Record that was established by the British Army 30 years ago - Cape Town to London, the car is in the workshop of Tony Fowkes Autos in Park Royal, North London, and is being shipped out in December, the crew will be flying out to retrieve it from the docks and hope to set out February lst.

It will be unveiled, with the route map, at the Royal Geographical Society on November 27th. Tickets for a rally-film-night that evening at the RGS in Kensington are available at the store-section of www.endurorally.com
All welcome.

The first non-stop record was from London to Cape Town, established by a journalist from Motor magazine in 1938, the current record from Cape Town to London is 14 days, set by an Army Brigadier in a works-Range Rover, its stood since 1983.

The record-attempt has its own website, at www.africarecordrun.com
