Technical Uhoh! - Cinq engine probs

Howdy!

Right, I got a 1994 Cinq SX (899cc). Popped open the bonnet the other day, noticed a very small puddle of oil behind the engine block which puddles on the exhaust(?). Also got oil coming from the front of the engine block just below the spark plugs. The car doesn't overheat, obviously it uses a bit of oil, coolant usage perhaps very slightly above normal. No weird noises or lack in performance or coloured smoke though. Any ideas what it is guys and gals? I'm worried it might be the dreaded HG words[V] wot do ya think?

im not very technical and wont be planning on doing any repairs myself so an overview of the prob and how much it will cost would be great.

Is it definetly leaking oil from where the head is??
Steam clean your engine or wipe away the oil as it may be your rocker cover gasket leaking and needs replacing.
Go for a drive and you should be able to see where the oil is coming from.

U might aswel change the rocker cover oil seal easy job and it costs no more than £3 4 the part
