I’ve always had Pirelli tyres on the car, and indeed the spare is still an original cinturato dated to 1988. But Pirelli no longer do 13inch tyres and the consensus was that Toyo are ok ( and I have them on my 2cv for 15 years now ).
etyres online were £47 each and £24 for local mobile fitting. The old front pair were 2010 dated and the rears 2006 ( garage has rotated them ).
I’ve had a quick drive about the lanes and they seem fine. Good grip and balanced well.

Those tyres are now very old. A blow out is not worth it. For £300 get the lot changed, and get it tracked. Fresh rubber is safer and will transform the feel of the car. Toyo tyres are good. My daughter has them on her Panda and they come with those magic three words.....Made in Japan.

Which is why they were changed last year. The car had not been out of the garage apart from to the mot test since 2019. As I stated the cost was £212 from etyres. I’ve just used been using it regularly since Easter and they Toyos seem fine.
