Right, so it's about time I got the winter tyres off the Multipla - it's like driving on jelly now. Ultimately it still grips I suppose, but there's a lot of wobbling going on.

I have two 195/65/15 s I took off when the winters went on (the other two were not worth keeping), but I notice that multiplaowners.co.uk says that the car will 'ride, corner and look better' on 205/60's.

I'm not so bothered about the cornering because although the Multipla is neat enough, you can't polish a - well, you know. You can't fight the physics I mean - it's never going to be an Elise.

What I do care about is fuel economy (it's £1.42 a litre near me) and comfort I suppose.

Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts about the choice between 195s and 205s with regard to these two criteria?

Are those 'eco' tyres that promise more MPG so much better that you get back what you spend on them over the life of the tyre?

Are 205s loads more comfortable? Are 195s loads more fuel efficient? If I got someone to fit tyres without me looking, would I be able to tell what size they were?

Any imput much appreciated - ta.

Too subjective to comment on.

It's been 4 years on 205/65's so difficult to make comparisons.
If you're anywhere near Enfield, London happy for you to try mine for a back to back comparison and make your own mind up.

Anyone, and indeed any non-particualar tyre can be more fuel efficient, just over-air it !

Would you be "" able to tell what size "", assuming you can read you will .. .. it tells you 4 times .. .. one on each corner ! :D

- - - its as noticeable a difference as in .. .. between ladies high heels and big boots
