Panda (Classic) Tyres on rims

Down the road from me, bidding on them, hopefully cheap enough with at least two good tyres I hope will help Fizzle through the MOT and clean up later for winter tyres :)
I may be wrong but they look like cinq steelies to me ?

The seller is the guy who used to have the real Panda convertible.
Who was at last years Thoresby. (y)

Are those tyres the same size as what you already have?

Yes I'd say they're Cinq or Seicento, definately not Panda although they will fit.

As long as each axle has the same sized pair on it'll be fine

And make sure you tell your insurer. Non standard or non matching sizes on the two axles will likely be used by them to turn down any claim, so best they are advised (should be no premium hike).

Not if both sizes are listed as OEM in the handbook ;)

I picked up the tyres last night (y)

I also came away with a set of tinted glass for Fizzle and a couple of Haynes manuals :)

That's what's great about Panda folk, so generous!

2 tyres are nearly new so they will be fitted on the back axle to replace the cracked ones once they've had a quick going over with the wire brush and kurust. Fancy having some white steelies at some point, anyone got some spare dust caps for the middle bit that sticks through the wheel (my tech knowledge needs to learn the word for that!) ?

Bugger! despite getting from Bradford to York without incident, this morning I checked on Fizzle to find one of the pieces I had transported had exploded in the night. What a mess, I suppose he won't be getting tinted windows now too :(

Wire brush and Kurust will mess them up, try black shoe polish or tyre dressing. :p
