Hi Folks

Just a small query really

I have a 1.6 ELX 51 Plate and checking tyre pressures the other day I noticed that there are 195/R15's on the front and 205/R15's on the rear, is this normal practice?

Cheers

Normal tyre size, as supplied with vehicle, is 195.65x15 all round
I happen to use 206.60x15 on 6.5j rims.
Some use 16" or 17" rims and the tyre profile is reduced accordingly to give the correct rolling radius.
I would think that using larger rims with a smaller profile tyre would make the ride somewhat harsher! Not tried it, just my opinion.

Bigger rims and smaller tyres make a hell of a difference , even when i changed from 205/50/16 to 215/40/17 on a different car i might add but more discomfort , best ive had on the multi was 205/50/16 on fiat coupe wheels , the difference to the handling was worth it.

If you can i would get my hands on the 17" Rims and put 205/45's all round. It's definately not normal practise to have wider tyres on the rear. The original 15" Alloys that came as an option for the multi were only ever supplied with 195/65/15's, putting a wider tyre on any wheel is dangerous.

These are the Rims you want, they look lovely on any multipla. Factory fit but you can get them direct from Italy at a good price. I'm saving up for mine!!

were these the only 17" rim supplied by Fiat? I think I need a single replacement rim as one is badly kinked - although it passed an MOT fine...
