General Turbo problem???

i have a grande punto 1.9 mjet 65 plate 39k on the clock
i was hoping for some advice....
i was driving around the otherday everything was running ok i went in the house for 10 minutes or so when i came back out and started driving the car was not turbo'ing and it was making a loud whistling though all the gears. it fells like the car is trying to turbo because when turbo kicks in its jittering it feels like aomething could be blocked

any advice on what it could be would be great

Most likely to be egr valve. plenty of info to search through.

If the turbo had gone you would knopw about it. The car would hardly move : P If its whistling very loud you may have a faulty turbo. Been covered lots on this. I have a thread on it somewhere
