Styling Turbo Plus Kit!!

New member here, been after a coupe for ages, finally picked up a blue 20VT for £3500 at the weekend, and very nice it is too....BUT....I'm after any ideas on improving it! Mainly I want to get the skirts and front lip that graced the Turbo Plus, but I'm having no joy at all in finding one. I have found a number of other kits but in my opinion they just aren't as nice as that factory fitted kit. Also, I'm desperate to upgrade the stereo, I know which one i'm going to get, but can anyone help me out with what size the speakers all are? I know i'm being lazy here, but hey ho!

heres a pic of my 20vt

i have slightly modded it, i am not a fan of bigs mods.

in feb i had the bumpers fully coded, LE rep skirts fitted. i think its subtle but makes one hell of a difference.

plenty of stuff going on ebay keep your eye out!

i have a DV36 which is loud and sounds nice, also have had had it chipped added another 40bhp

i have borrowed a strut brace which has improved the handling.

i will be getting a hybrid turbo at some point but will have to wait till funds allow.

i personally wouldnt do anything to the sound system bar a headunit as the speaker etc are good quality, i was going to put some 6x9s in with my amp but decided against it.

Thanks for that, your's is pretty much identical to how I want mine to look! That kit is perfect! Where did you get yours from? I'm looking at a couple of things on ebay:

I also got a quote from the guy that I got the car from. He rang a main dealer and got a price of around £250 for the skirts, although he reckoned he colud lose the VAT, plus a bit extra.

I think the skirts from Joy Tuning are ok, but not sure if other people have used them.

As for the stereo, one of the rear speakers has blown, so it sounds awful, and I would upgrade it anyway, just coz that's what I'm like! And I'm going to keep the car for a while yet, so I want it to be perfect!

the skirts on the car are those of joy tuning and look spot on, they cost me £65

the cost of the respray on the bumpers and fitting and spraying skirts were £300.

they did a fab job and the skirts look excellent.

i am undecided about lips as you have to be exra careful when going round multi-storey carparks are the steering lock isnt great. I am happy with how it looks anyway and dont think lips would make that much of a difference now its been coded.

if you want new speakers they are 16.5cm rear and front afaik, also infinity are a popular choice.

its a cheaper option to get it sprayed without skirts and as you can see looks just as good it just finishes the car off IMO

Right...taken the plunge and just bought some skirts! (Oooer!) Now I just need to find someone to paint and fit them and the bumpers!

Same skirts as yours and I'm in sunny (yeah right) Kent.

rits best you make a post on this section https://www.fiatforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=41 the body shop forum and find out if anyone can reccomend you one, the skirts arent a perfect fit and take some buggering about to fit them, so you need a good shop really nothing too difficult though

Yes, it's easy enough to scrape the front bumper on kerbs as it is. (Sorry sammi)
As sammi says, 16.5 cm speakers all round for the coop, though the rears will take 6x9s with a little modification. You might change your mind about doing the rears when you see how to get to them though. It involves removing the rear seat.

Well to be honest I think I will be getting someone else to do it for me! (I'm lazy like that!) Now all I need is to find out which Chip to buy, where to get it all set up etc etc, and basically anything to make an already great car even greater!

GTEC - look on fccuk for GrahamL and PM him. He'll charge you about £35 for a chip that'll take you up to about 249bhp safely.

No, 250 bhp would result in total destruction of the engine, the loss of your family, and Armageddon. Possibly.
It's that extra 1bhp that pushes it over the edge
