me and a mate are wanting to build the ultimate traffic light missile and weve had a mad thought! i did a little spare timer a while ago and the bloke gid me a deawoo nexia cos he wanted rid and i wanted a work car anyway we were thinking would it be possible to put a 3.0ltr v6 out of an amiga in it i mean its pretty much a mk2 astra int it dont even know if its a flyer yet but just fought id ask, ohh im defently up for tha 20vt conversion but cant until i sell the house wich wont be long now, what sort of bhp are we talking about for say £5000 chears mate

Any engine can be put into any car but it is easier and cheaper to stick with like for like.
So you wanna put a Vauxhall Omega 3.0 V6 24V engine into a Daewoo Nexia 1.5?
£5000 on what the Daewoo or Bravo 20VT

id i wanted a traffic light missile, i'd prob go for a nova with calibra turbo engine, gnna be fairly quick and been done so many times it wont cost a bomb.

i would love to see a alfa 3.0 v6 in a bravo

I was thinking more of a Van Aaken 1.1 Turbo Sciento/Cinquecento. 55BHP - 120BHP.

Or even a 1.4 Punto GT Turbo in a Sciento/Cinquecento = 200BHP

i know its almost as random as above,but i'd love a cinq with a punto turbo or rs turbo engine mounted inthe back and throuh the rear wheels!!

imagine trying to drift with somethign that short wheel base!

i mean in the deawoo cos lets face it if a deawoo pulled up at the side of you, you wouldnt really expect anything other than an aa van to pull up behind and ask if it neads fixing, ive bin searching the net and there is quite a few nexias with red tops in but i just thought it would defonetly be thinking outside the box wouldnt it lol


oh and for those of you who would like to see a small car with big power look in this months of track and race cars there is a fiat 500 with a ducatti 999 enguine in it i think thats gunna be pretty hard to beat dunt you lololol

when i said £5000 i meant the bravo, you said you could put the 20vt in for £4000 so i have got a budget of £6500 for the fiat and wanna spend round £5000 on the enguine wot sort of power are we talking chears

Fiat 500 with a GSXR-1000 engine or Hyabusa engine would actually be faster...

Allan, give it a few months and me and a mate should be able to tell you

were currently building a fwd front engined ut cinq, tuned to about 180 ish bhp (as per old dyno sheet) so that shoule be quite fun, but think traction could be a bit of a problem... then the rear engined jobbie is the next project

I would say you wouln't get a lot for £1500 as the Fiat engine is very money hungry. For example a set of forged pistons is £900. In all honest with that budget you could probaly just scrap 260BHP
