Bravo (Classic) Turbo diesel problems

Hi y'all I'm newbie on here so please forgive me if this has been answered previously, I've got a bravo 1.9 JTD, when driving it, it doesn't seem to have any guts in it, I assume that the turbo has gone but cannot seem to find it? Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be and how I can sort it?

Clean the EGR valve before doing anything major or expensive.

Thanks for that Neverth, I will give that a go at weekend if weather is dry and get back to you. Cheers again..

You could also look at all the hoses that link between the turbo and the intercooler for splits as this will allow the turbo boost to escape and give sluggish performance, alos check the intercooler for leaks. There may be tell tale clues from oil deposits where the leak is. blocked fuel filter can also cause poor performance.
