General turbo cuts out

hello peeps can any one help me i have had me multi for about nine months now and have thought it has lacked power then suddenly the other day the turbo kicked in and since it some times boosts for about a second then dies and other times it works fine and other times dont work i find it a bit strange how since i have had the car its not has any boost but i could still here the turbo whistle but i cant under stand y it has suddenly started to work (when it wants) can any one advise me on what it could be wrong

Assuming you've got a 110/115 JTD, check the vacuum tube from the turbo to the sensor on the inner bulkhead below the battery.
Try sucking on the tube and put a multimeter across the sensor output to check if the sensor is working.
Could also be the MAP sensor playing up, no engine management light on the dashboard? Might be worth reading the diagnostics as a fault like this should throw up some codes.

ill try that mate the only light that keeps coming on is the injector light even when it aint on it still plays up

You really need to get the errors diagnosed to give a clue as to what's going on.
You can buy OBDII readers for around £25.
