Don't know if any of you guys remember, but i was having problems with the JTD sometimes losing power when warm.

Thought it may be overheating, then through it may be the turbo itself but after a diagnostic today, turns out its the turbo boost sensor.

Its in the garage now getting the work done - but was wondering out of curiosity how hard a job it is to change? I think the guy informed me that it the sensor itself is 56 quid.

Thanks

Stu

The JTD has two Boost Sensors one at the back of the engine and the other is under the battery somewhere IIRC.

The sensors are quite expensive, the job to do is very easy. No more than an hour to change with plenty of time to spare. Hope it solves the problem for you.

But dont have your hopes up too much, a split pipe will cause the problems too, which doesn't mean the sensor is faulty. Get them to check the vacuum hoses to the sensors too.
