Still inefficient. If the cold air feed produced cold air then the intercooler should chill it further. In this case the engine is ingesting hot air for no point and reducing intercooler effect for a simple fix of a foot of ducting.
Forced induction systems generate a load of heat..the compression itself and friction from the ducting, You don't want to add to the load. The cold air feed on mine comes in under the nearside wing for exactly that reason.
