how much roughly does re-mapping cost and what are the average increases ive got a 1.8 bravo with a full longlife exhaust il be getting a green cotton air filter soon and will probably do it after that. any advice cheers Danny

Dont bother bumping, a 1.8 ECU cannot be remapped

why is that is there anything else i can to get a bit more ooommppff out of the 1.8 and please knowone say buy a hgt. my hlx seems really quick at the mo just like it a bit quicker. timed at 0-60 just nudging under 9secs and top end at 135. Cheers again.

i did see something about having a 1.8 ecu remapped when i was going to get mine chipped. i think it was about 250 pound. just to let you know when you get an air filter dont expect alot of power, the only real differance is the sound and that will put a smile on your face. hope this helps buddy

Attention: At present moment, the 1.8HLX Can NOT be remapped. Originally it was thought that it could of been done (Until Nige put it to the test)

Agree with ian

I was there - it is 100% impossible - the ecu has a gel mould that can not be split - you split the gel mould to get to the pins and you trash the ecu.

I was there when he last tried and got told that it wasnt poss - we were at red dot racing in london and they have experience in the matter!
