So i rolled my car back in March and it got written off. But I really miss it and I want it back!

But there are obvious problems here. Firstly I dont know if it's still in existence and then going about finding it..

If I put in the number plate OV58 XHA on confused.com it recognises the car is a fiat grande punto 1.4 GP 16v.. and also on www.mycarcheck.com, which says 'The vehicle OV58XHA, a Fiat Grande Punto Gp 16v (3 Door Hatchback), is on our database. To discover its history please choose a check below.'

But then wants £4.95... which frankly seems a bit of a rip.

Does anyone know how to confirm whether my car still exists/in a usable form?

So having established whether it exists or not then going about finding it i'd have no idea... anyone got any thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

The DVLA has info as follows:

Date of Liability 01 02 2012
Date of First Registration 29 12 2008
Year of Manufacture 2008
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1368cc
CO2 Emissions 139g/Km
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour GREY
Vehicle Type Approval M1

This means it is currently taxed (not sorned) and not notified as destroyed. Once a certificate of destruction is issued all this information disappears.

So it's still around somewhere probably in the trade if not shown on the MID (though it should still be recorded on there). Unlikely to still be in the repair shop as it wouldn't be taxed if off the road for a long time (someone would have cashed it in).

Good luck!
