General troublesome relay

I have a 2.0s petrol ulysse on a 2000w I have read several posts regarding the troublesome double relay for the fuel pump and coil.

My is running very rough (as if not all cylinders firing), it cuts out sometimes (Ihave replaced the idle valve), it uses lots of petrol and has a battery drain.

I have had an auto electrician look at it and all the earths are fine, the charging system is fine and the battery is new.

Could my problem be this relay?

Is it cutting out just when cold? because i have this problem on my 04 reg ulysse 2.0 petrol.
I was told that it could be the coolant temp sensor. (£19+Vat)
I have one on order and will report back if it cures the fault.
Mine sounds like an old tractor until it has cut out and when i re-start it runs fine.

there is no pattern at all. On Saturday it struggles to start when cold, then ran OK(ish) for a couple of miles before it cut out, Today it has not cut out once! I have ordered a new relay (£40 inc VAT) and will let you know if it fixes my problem(s)!
