trouble starting and running

i am having major trouble with my 1.4 sx. I had trouble since xmas, first it was a broken code unit that had to be replaced by the dealer (big money), then it was a seized camshaft due to a clogged oil spray bar (even bigger cost !!!!) Now the revs started jumping around when at idle, then this morning the revs dropped to 1000 during driving then the engine stopped. now there is no spark altough the engine is turning. the green flag guy thought it was the coil. Does this sound familar to anyone ?

I had an ignition coil go on me a couple of weeks ago.
The only symptom was a misfire (and loss of power), but i had no probs starting it.

Yeah, I had a coil fail on my J*g and the engine just dies - no spark. A coil is a dead cheap £150!!! on the 4 cyclinder cars. (just for info by the way, a coil for my TWR J*g was only £30

no trouble starting

I've no trouble starting when the coil works !!
When it plays up the car either cuts out or drops to 1000 revs (or jumps between these two extremes)
