Firstly, dont bother going to kwik fit... Worst service ever!

I need a back box, and the guy didnt have one in stock, and didnt offer to order one for me either :( Do you know how much it would cost for a 1.8?

He said i have got a problem with the steering which is true, but couldnt not see any visual damage under the car or the wheels, and suggested that i have some diagnostics done as it might be the power steering.

Any ideas where in devon i can go to get this work done thats not a fiat dealership?

Backbox fitted on Mrs Ffoxys 1.2 Stilo yesterday for 64quid inc vat @ Hardys.

Steering might well be a dealer jobbie NewmanR but I understand the reluctance shown by Shyster and JayEm. Depends what symptoms the car is displaying really.

Shyster giz a clue! :)

Well with the steering, when you turn the car to the right it feels very delicate... not weighted right.... hard to explain, and when i turn right hear a knocking noise.

the guy at kwik fit said everything looked okay... so im stumped!

Problem with buying back box online... is i cant fit it. I have just found out that there is a fiat specialist near me so i might take a trip there.

www.cesuk.com

Got a price from CES in Crewe for a full Cat back
exhaust middle pipe and the proper back box for the 1.8
inlet and outlet pipes at the front of the box.
came to less than £80.00 plus Vat. Bosal Timex or Walker
Fit it myself if need be. If the existing silencers still fitted
you'd be better replacing both as mid has a flexible
pipe and the back suffers from corrosion.

CES do a Nationwide next day delivery service.
Fit it youself or get a price from a local garage
to fit for you.

Steering if it's knocking it needs sorting, check simple things
like wheel nuts tyre pressure worn parts. Get someone to
sit in the car and move the steering wheel, use a thin piece
of wood as a stethascope yourself to see whats knocking.
If you can't sort it yourself then you need for safety's sake
to get it fixed.

Try these guys, they were the only place that could help out when I needed a centre section for my 1.8, and it was very cheap!!
