tray missing !!!!!

got my car back from fiat today....forgot how loud the exhaust was lol...looking for some help...1 looked under the bonnet and noticed that the plastic tray under the engine was missing, how important is this and where do i get replacement (already paid fiat 1k to get her back, no more) 2. any suggestions on why the fog light button light comes on when i press the brake...it just flickers annoying as feck. and last not but least my alarm button on my key is missing a spring any ideas on where to get a key or a part ti fix this.....

were all these things apparent at the time whe it went in to fiat? if not i would be calling or taking a visit to the garage to get it sorted...

the tray was cracked maybe they just binned it....is it important?

I wouldn't of thought the undertray is that important.

I have a 1.8,and had i nightmare trying to get the oil access cover for my under tray.The 1.8 engine has deep reach plugs, and if any water does get into the pots,its quite tedious getting it back out.The tray helps keep water and dust out of the engine bay,thus proloning the life of various components. The best way to look at it is why would fiat go through all that trouble of designing and making the tray if it didnt need one.Tell the garage you want a new one,its yours and its not like they personaly have to pay for it.

As Lee stated its to protect the engine from road grime and water aswell as sound proof the engine. Ideally you should try to get it back as they cost around £80 plus bolts.
