Hey All,

Has been time since i have posten anything on here but thought i had best get back into it.

In early 2009 me and a friend of mine who used to be on here (he had a Stilo) met up at the Trafford Centre to get some pics of each others cars as he had an Alfa 147 & i have the Stilo. We thought this was a bit of a laugh n decided to do it again. He is a member of Alfa Owner and invited some people down. I on the other hand didnt think much of anything happening or carrying on but throughout the year we managed to attract more and more Alfa's & 1 other Stilo... lol!

At the height of last year we had a meet of 24 cars if i recall. Ranging from Mito through to Brera S with a lot of inbetweeners including a 1970's Alfa Spider!

The thing is as you can tell there were mainly Alfa's here and it is supposed to be an Italian Car meet so i would love to have some more Fiats down there! The next meet is on Thursday 15th April at 7:30pm ish at the Trafford Centre in John Lewis Carpark

I HAVE TO PUT THIS IN BIG CAPS TO GET IT ACROSS. THE TRAFFORD CENTRE ARE HAPPY WITH US DOING THIS AS THERE IS NO NOBBING AROUND, ITS NOT A CRUISE, ITS A MEET UP FOR PEOPLE WITH A LOVE FOR ITALIAN CARS!:slayer:

If you fancy it then drop me a line on here or whatever!

Si

Hey up, im still about on here! May have left the Stilo fold but still a big fan!

I hope lots of you can come down, it looks like this meet could be a bit of a monster!

We've been to the manchester meet once, so would probably drive over to this.

Whats TC said about it then? Who've you spoken to there and who do you need to speak to as we start to arrive?

AS it looks like the meet is going to be pretty big, we may end up heading straight for one of the overflow car parks a little further out from John Lewis. So just bear that in mind, if you turn up for 7.30pm and see no cars!

The TC are usually very good about the meets, a security van usually turns up and asks a few questions, admires the cars, and then when they know we are not messing around drive off!

That would be great, but you'll have to get more Fiat's to turn up! If all the yes' and maybe's turn up we will have about 37 Alfa's!!

Why doesnt someone ring TC security before hand then? Have heard the opposite happening with the police turning up, obviously because it was a chavtastic meet but still.... last thing we want to be known for is the police turning up to meets.

...because we have never had any issues with the TC or Police at any TC meet we have done in the past! In fact the Police have never turned up to any of our meets!

As I said, when ever the TC security guys have turned up, they have a quick chat, look at the cars and then they are off!

There's no messing around at the meets so the TC security have never seen the need to call on the police! Obviously if the TC security bods turn up and ask us to move then we would do so!

All I'm doing is tryin ta help, whats wrong with a courteous phone call? OK agreed space that day isn't likely to be at a premium. But what if it was, also they do have better things to do than come speak to us.

A well organised, safe, fun meet will be fine for them. But if they know about our presence and idiots start to gather around then wouldn't it be handy for them to know that we are their geniunley to meet up, chat and then go off and consume their food.

Wooo :D i will be there in my mk1 punto wit wolfgirl & nick :slayer:
